Day Boat Hire Conditions

• The named hirer must be over 21 years old (proof of age may be required).

• A short tuition session on boat handling, water safety, and equipment use is provided before departure.

• Maximum capacity: 10 passengers (including crew).

• Availability: 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

• Security Deposit: £50 required on the day of hire.

  • The deposit may be withheld if:

    • The boat/equipment is damaged or missing

    • The boat is returned late or soiled

  • Late return fees: £25 for the first 30 minutes, £50 per additional hour or part thereof

Important Notes:

• Skipton Boat Trips reserves the right to refuse hire to anyone deemed unsuitable to operate the vessel.

• The hirer is responsible for the safe navigation and conduct of all passengers.

• Skipton Boat Trips is not liable for delays, accidents, or breakdowns except in cases of proven negligence.

• Do not attempt any repairs—report any issues immediately to the Wharf Office.
