🌙 Dare You Face the Shadows of York? Step back into York’s turbulent past, where tragedy, plague, and executions left their mark—and where shadows are still said to walk among us. As we guide you through the city’s streets and snickleways, you’ll hear chilling tales of hauntings, dark history, and unexplained sightings that continue to haunt York’s present. ⚠️ Please Note: This tour is rated PG and not recommended for children under 8. Stories include real historic details, some of which can be sad, grim, or gory. The shadows are waiting… will you join them?

Departure Point

We meet outside the Guy Fawkes Inn on High Petergate, York. Please gather on the pavement nearby—do not block the entrance or the road. Your guide will meet you there.

Please arrive 10 minutes early. Tours start promptly—latecomers will not be admitted or refunded.
Guide cannot answer calls/texts once the tour begins.

Weather & Attire:

Outdoor walking tour—please dress warmly and wear sensible shoes.
Tours run in all weather unless extreme (e.g., severe storm). Bring a raincoat/umbrella.

Rules & Conduct:

The guide may refuse admission without refund for disruptive behaviour (e.g., intoxication, rudeness, swearing, or threatening conduct).
Children under 16 must be supervised at all times.
No toilet stops during the tour—please plan ahead.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
