About this Event
Every Thursday evening, one of San Francisco's premier museums opens up its doors for an After Dark gathering of the coolest kind. The Exploratorium transforms into an adults-only intellectual playground, welcoming everyone 18 and older to dance, mingle, and explore while sipping on cocktails (own expense) and participating in the museum's ongoing advances in art, science, and technology while enjoying spectacular views of the Bay Bridge and San Francisco Bay.

What To Expect
On Thursday evenings after the Exploratorium closes to the public, curious minds—from computer programmers to fashion designers—gather for After Dark, an adults-only (18+) evening of exploration. This weekly event features ever-changing themes in a festive atmosphere where visitors are encouraged to sip cocktails (available for purchase) while diving into hundreds of interactive exhibits.

Expand your mind by engaging with hundreds of interactive machines, contraptions, and art installations at San Francisco’s Exploratorium, located just a short walk from both the Ferry Building and Fisherman’s Wharf.
Arrive around 6 PM on Thursday for the wildly popular After Dark event, when the museum remains open until 10 PM.
Each night centers on a unique theme, combining art, science, technology, and entertainment in an adults-only, party-like setting.
The Exploratorium transforms into an intellectual playground — part museum, part lab, part gallery, and all fun.
