About this Event

Discover Birmingham’s hidden heritage sites by bike as their trained ride leaders will take you along one of our fantastic ‘Secret Birmingham – Heritage Cycle Routes’ .

When: Sunday 14th September 2025

Time: 2pm - 5pm

Location: The Hub on the Green, Bournville

 

What to expect:

This led ride is your chance to learn new bike-friendly routes, explore Birmingham by bike with a group and visit some of Birmingham’s hidden heritage sites along the way.

 

Some of the heritage sites we will visit include Old Joe, the amazing freestanding clock tower and a quick stop to meet Rory the Allosaurus at Lapworth Museum. You will also learn interesting heritage facts as we pass through Cannon Hill Park and the Golden Lion Pub – You really are in for a treat!

 

Leaving promptly at 2pm. Expect to be riding for approx. 2-3hrs using cycle paths, green spaces, canal tow paths and a few quiet roads. Led by qualified ride leaders.

Starting/finishing at the Hub on The Green in Bournville.

 

We will ride at a gentle with plenty of pits stops and opportunity for a refreshment break. Participants should have basic bike handling skills and the ability to ride for 2-3hrs.

We have a limited number of adult bikes available to borrow and must be added at time of booking - Please bring your own bike if possible

 

 

Whether you're new to riding, looking to build confidence or a regular cyclist this ride is for you.
Ride led by qualified leaders, suitable for all abilities.
These are social activities, the pace will be gentle, nobody gets left behind. Expect lots of chatting, pitstops and smiles.

 

Things to remember:

  • Dress for the weather - Think about suitable footwear, gloves, suncream, a water proof and extra layers are a good idea just in case.
  • Bring a drink/snacks for when you are out on the ride
